Team diary - 4th August, Stage 10: Guben to Lubin
What poetry! (Gubin to Lubin we mean!) Last night was our last in tents; got up early packed up and set off at 8am into Poland. With our new (Polish) driver, Marcin we set off, Jordanna getting a puncture after 10 minutes. Got to first stopping point later than hoped for, Les really suffering with no energy, but a Mars bar cured all! The sugar rush kept him going all day.
Thunderstorms (again!) - hail, cold, Les wore 4 layers of clothing, then Jordanna had a second puncture. Fortunately the tailwind (for a change) meant that not too much time was lost…until Jordanna got her third puncture! Eventually arrived at Lubin after 6km of cobbled roads and our first night in a hotel. Les’ cousin Andrzej met us there, we were all tired after our third 100 mile day. Lovely meal in a hotel and can’t wait for the fourth 100 mile day tomorrow!

Cant quite believe that youre in Poland already only seems like yesterday that the bike ride started yet so much seems to have happened in between.Its good that Andzeja met up with you all too one of the many relations we hope to see in Poland.
So proud of you all especially Leszek. Cant wait to see you all. All packed now ready for the off-had trouble fitting all the suits in though.

Hi Guys the Gubin to Lubin does sound poetic does it mean anything?
You are now getting so much closer with all those miles done.You must be a mixture of adrenaline rush ,excitement and tired bodies. But I bet it makes u hungry for the next adventure.
4x 100 mile days cycling is brilliant in itself.
